Synthesis of 2-methylpropan-1-ol–methanol mixtures from H2–CO synthesis gas over double-bed Cs/Cu/ZnO/Cr2O3 and Cs/ZnO/Cr2O3 catalysts

Abstract

A novel double-bed reactor configuration utilizing two sequential catalysts that operate in different optimum temperature regimes increases both the space–time yield and the selectivity of 2-methylpropan-1-ol from H2–CO synthesis gas.
