Well-defined surface ion-imprinted magnetic microspheres for facile onsite monitoring of lead ions at trace level in water

Abstract

A Pb(II)-imprinted polymer shell is chemically fabricated on the surface of Fe3O4@SiO2 core. The title magnetic microspheres capture lead ions rapidly and selectively from aqueous solution so that facile onsite preconcentration and monitoring of lead ions at trace level is possible.
