Synthesis of cadmium sulfide nanoparticles in situ using γ-radiation

Abstract

Cadmium sulfide nanoparticles have been produced in situ in aqueous solution at room temperature by precipitating Cd2+ ions with homogeneously released S2– ions, which were generated from the decomposition of Na2S2O3 by γ-irradiation.
