Zeolite-like crystal structure of an empty microporous molecular framework

Abstract

The rigidity of the coordination polymer framework of Ni2(4,4′-bipy)3(NO3)4 is demonstrated quantitatively by determination of the structures of both ethanol-loaded and desolvated forms, showing only a small relaxation of the structure on guest loss.
