Cooperative halide, perrhenate anion–sodium cation binding and pertechnetate extraction and transport by a novel tripodal tris(amido benzo-15-crown-5) ligand

Abstract

A new tripodal tris(amido benzo-15-crown-5) ligand L1 cooperatively binds chloride, iodide and perrhenate anions via co-bound crown ether complexed sodium cations and efficiently extracts and transports the pertechnetate anion from simulated aqueous nuclear waste solutions via cooperative ion-pair binding effects.
