Syntheses and crystal structures of lithium and niobium complexes containing a new type of monoanionic “scorpionate” ligand

Abstract

The synthesis of a novel lithium compound [{Li(H2O)(bdmpza)}4] [bdmpza = bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)acetate], containing a new “scorpionate” ligand, and its reaction with a niobium complex to give [NbCl3(bdmpza)(PhC[triple bond, length half m-dash]CMe)] have been reported.
