The synthesis of novel trisphosphoranylphosphine and its oxide

Abstract

A new trisphosphoranylphosphine oxide 1 bearing three σ5λ5P–σ4λ5P bonds was synthesized through an efficient method in which N,N-dialkylphenylacetamide played an important role. Chloroform reduced the phosphine oxide 1 to the corresponding phosphine 2. The crystal structure of 2 was determined.
