Photocatalytic water oxidation by Nafion-stabilized iridium oxide colloids

Abstract

A photosystem composed of colloidal IrO2·xH2O stabilized by soluble Nafion, tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II), and persulfate efficiently oxidizes water to oxygen under visible light.
