A neutral dicopper(iii) bis(μ-oxo) complex from a copper(i) ethylene iminophosphanamide and O2Dedicated to Professor R. Neidlein on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

Abstract

The copper(I) ethylene complex [But2P(NSiMe3)22 N]Cu(η2-C2H4) reacts with O2, yielding an uncharged dinuclear copper(III) bis(μ-oxo) species, which has been fully characterized, e.g. by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
