Synthesis of SO42−/ZrO2/MCM-41 as a new superacid catalystElectronic supplementary information (ESI) available: characterization data for catalysts. See http://www.rsc.org/suppdata/cc/b0/b006051h/

Abstract

A new SO42−/ZrO2/MCM-41 superacid catalyst has been successfully synthesized and is ca. 2.5–3 times more active than the conventional SO42−/ZrO2 superacid catalyst for MTBE synthesis and n-pentane isomerization.
