Electrophilic ring-opening of [(RP)nAs] anions; a simple route to functionalised neutral phosphines of the type [(ButP)(ButRP)2]

Abstract

Ring opening of the cyclic [(ButP)3As] anion results from reactions with electrophiles (RX = H2O, MeI, CH2[double bond, length half m-dash]CHCH2I, PhCH2Br), providing a simple and general approach to triphosphine ligands of the type [(ButP)(ButRP)2].
