Abstract

Acetonitrile reacts with a dinuclear nickel(II) complex [Ni2(μ-OH)2(tpa)2](ClO4) 2 [tpa = tris-(2-pyridylmethyl)amine] in solution forming a novel square-planar nickel(II) complex Ni{HN[double bond, length half m-dash]C(Me)–N[double bond, length half m-dash]C(Me)–NH}2.
