A stable chiral diolefin complex of CuI with predetermined configuration at the metal centre

Abstract

A derivative of (S,S)-bis(pinene)bipyridine, which contains two terminal olefin groups, forms a mononuclear complex with CuI; X-ray crystallography shows the predetermination of configuration around the metal centre.
