ITQ-18 a new delaminated stable

Abstract

A new delaminated zeolitic material ITQ-18 has been obtained by expanding and exfoliating a laminar precursor of NU-6 (2); while NU-6 (2) has an N2 surface area of 35 m2 g−1 and contains bridging hydroxy groups which are in accessible to pyridine, the ITQ-18 sample prepared has an a external surface area of 588 m2 g−1 with all bridging hydroxy groups being acidic and accessible to pyridine.
