Isolation, dynamic NMR study and X-ray characterisation of a bis sulfonium zirconocene-ate dimer

Abstract

The novel dimer [Cp2Zr[upper bond 1 start]SCH(Ph)CH[double bond, length as m-dash]C[upper bond 1 end]PPh2]2, the first example of a structurally characterised sulfur-bridged binuclear zirconathiolane complex, was prepared, characterised by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography, and some aspects of its solution behaviour were studied.
