Metal complexes in molecular electronics: progress and possibilities

Abstract

A selective summary of some of the issues surrounding the development of a molecular-based electronics technology is presented, highlighting the characteristics of metal complexes that make these species particularly attractive for the construction of highly integrated, functional molecular components.
