Reversible molecular switch driven by excited-state hydrogen transfer

Abstract

A novel ultra-fast and photostable molecular photo-switch based on the excited-state intramolecular hydrogen atom transfer process has been theoretically designed and characterized in terms of potential-energy profiles of the ground and the first excited singlet states.
