Hydrogen release from amminelithium borohydride, LiBH4·NH3

Abstract

Amminelithium borohydride, LiBH4·NH3 which has two temperature sensitive chemical bonds N:→Li+ and N–H⋯H–B, is shown to release hydrogen at low temperatures by stabilizing the ammonia and promoting the recombination of the NHHB bond.
