The first supraicosahedral bis(heteroborane)

Abstract

The first supraicosahedral bis(heteroborane), 1-(4′-Cp-4′,1′,6′-closo-CoC2B10H11)-4-Cp-4,1,6-closo-CoC2B10H11 has been synthesised as a mixture of racemic and meso diastereoisomers. Analysis of the molecular structures reveals clear evidence of internally crowded molecules.
