Tungsten hexadimethylamide

Abstract

In the structure of tungsten hexadimethyl-amide W(NMe2)6, determined by X-ray diffraction, the WN6 group is octahedral but the planar WNC2 groups give a configuration having the rare symmetry point group Th.
