Oxidative cleavage of nitrilotriacetic acid to iminodiacetic acid

Abstract

The oxygenation of nitrilotriacetic acid solution at pH 8·5 and 90° in the presence of 5% Pd/C gives almost quantitative yields of iminodiacetic acid.
