High yield synthesis of a neutral and carbonyl-rich terminal arylborylene complex

Abstract

High yield synthesis of trans-[(Me3P)(OC)3Fe = BDur] (Dur, “Duryl” = 2,3,4,6-Me4C6H) is achieved by salt elimination and subsequent liberation of trimethylsilylbromide from K[Fe(CO)3(PMe3)SiMe3] and Br2BDur.
