X-Ray crystallographic determination of the structure of the antibiotic aphidicolin: a tetracyclic diterpenoid containing a new ring system

Abstract

Aphidicolin, an antibiotic produced by Cephalosporium aphidicola Petch, is shown to contain a novel tetracyclic diterpenoid ring system.
