Structure of bromobis(triphenylphosphine)-(1,2,3,4-tetrakismethoxycarbonylbuta-1,3-dienyl)palladium and evidence for a C–H ⋯ Pd interaction

Abstract

Treatment of [PdL2{C4(CO2Me)4}] with HX gives trans-PdL2{C4(CO2Me)4H}X; the crystal structure of trans-Pd(Ph3P)2{C4(CO2Me)4}Br is reported and it is shown that there is an interaction between the δ-butadienyl hydrogen and the metal.
