Reductive ring cleavage of 3,5-dimethylisoxazole in irradiation in the presence of triethylamine

Abstract

Irradiation of 3,5-dimethylisoxazole in acetonitrile in the presence of triethylamine resulted in the reductive cleavage of the isoxazole ring by formation of an encounter complex.
