Synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of tris(phenyldi-isopropylphosphine)-tungsten hexahydride

Abstract

Hydrogenolysis of hexamethyltungsten in the presence of PPhPri2 affords [WH6(PPhPri2)3], which is shown by 31P n.m.r. spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction to have approximate C2v symmetry in the solid and in solution.
