Phosphorus-31 to lithium-7 nuclear spin coupling in lithiated organophosphorus compounds

Abstract

31 P and 7Li n.m.r. spectra with J(31P–7Li)=ca. 50 Hz show LiCH(PPh2)2 and LiCH[PPh2][P(S)PPh2] to be covalent monomeric, and LiPPh2 to be covalent dimeric in Et2O solution at low temperatures.
