An e.s.r. study of amine-boryl radicals (R3N–BH2˙) in solution

Abstract

The e.s.r. spectrum of Et3N–BH2˙ indicates that this species is non-planar at the boron radical center; amine-boryl radicals abstract halogen from alkyl chlorides and bromides and the aziridine-boryl radical undergoes rapid ring opening.
