Some observations on the thermal interconversion of silanediyls (silylenes) and sila-olefins (silenes)

Abstract

New experiments on thermally-generated Me2[S with combining umlaut]i are interpreted in terms of a reversible silanediyl ⇌ sila-olefin isomerization, as predicted theoretically; earlier apparently conflicting results are shown to be consistent with this explanation.
