Preparation and crystal structure of the novel internally solvated dimeric organolithium compound [{LiC(SiMe2OMe)3}2]

Abstract

The organolithium reagent derived from (MeOMe2Si)3CCI has been shown to crystallize as the dimeric species [{LiC(SiMe2OMe)3}2], in which the Li–C bonds are exceptionally long and the C–SiMe2OMe bonds unusually short.
