A new type of phosphabenzene coordination

Abstract

Phosphabenzene reacts with [Os3H2(CO)10] to give the compound [Os3((µ-H)23-C5H5P)(CO)9](X-ray structure of the 2-tert-butyl substituted derivative is reported) containing a four-electron donating µ3-phosphabenzene ligand, and the phosphabenzene-coupled product, [Os3µ-H)(µ3-C10H11P2)(CO)9](X-ray structure is reported).
