A gold–carbon nanoparticle composite as an efficient catalyst for homocoupling reaction

Abstract

Carbon nanoparticle supported Au nanoparticles could be synthesized starting with a Au nanoparticle-chitosan composite. The composite nanoparticles efficiently converted phenylboronic acid to biphenyl through homocoupling.
