Template-free preparation and properties of mesoporous g-C3N4/TiO2 nanocomposite photocatalyst

Abstract

A novel and facile template-free method was presented to fabricate a network structured mesoporous g-C3N4/TiO2 nanocomposite with enhanced visible-light photocatalytic activity. The protonation effect accompanied with TiO2 nanoparticle growth is believed to be a probable mechanism for the formation of such a porous structure of the g-C3N4 matrix.
