Complete oxidation of toluene on refractory La1−xCaxCoO3−x/2/CeO2–ZrO2–ZnO catalysts

Abstract

A novel La1−xCaxCoO3−x/2/CeO2–ZrO2–ZnO catalyst was synthesized at 1400 °C to realize refractory and noble metal-free materials. On this catalyst, the temperature differential between complete toluene oxidation and catalyst calcination was over 1000 °C, elucidating that this novel catalyst can be used stably over a significantly wide temperature range.
