Ratiometric luminescence thermometry based on crystal-field alternation at the extremely narrow 5D07F2 transition band of europium(iii)

Abstract

A dinuclear europium(III) complex with a structure of [BP-(EuIII)2-(ODA)3] (BP = 2,2′-bipyridine-6,6′-dicarboxylic acid bis(N-hydroxy-succinimide) ester, ODA = diglycolic acid) shows a fully reversible emission spectral change at the extremely narrow 5D07F2 transition band in response to temperature changes ranging from 283 K to 333 K.
