The AACVD of Cu2FeSn(SxSe1−x)4: potential environmentally benign solar cell materials

Abstract

Films of Cu2FeSn(SxSe1−x)4 (CFTSSe) have been deposited by aerosol assisted chemical vapour deposition (AACVD) using mixtures of [Fe(S2CNEt2)3], [Bu2Sn(S2CNEt2)2] and [Cu(S2CNEt2)2] as precursors for the end member CFTS and of [Cu(PPh3)(Ph2P(Se)NP(Se)Ph2)], [Sn(OAc)4] and [Fe(acac)3] for CFTSe. CFTSSe thin films were deposited from [Fe(S2CNEt2)3], [Bu2Sn(S2CNEt2)2] and [Cu(PPh3)(Ph2P(Se)NP(Se)Ph2)]. The structures, morphologies, compositions, electrical and optical properties of these materials were studied by SEM, XRD, EDX, Raman spectroscopy, electron spectroscopy, UV-Vis measurement and using a four probe conductivity meter.
