Direct white-light-emitting and near-infrared phosphorescence of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8

Abstract

Zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 directly exhibits unexpected white-light emission and near-infrared (NIR) phosphorescence, due to the host–guest interaction and the alternation of electron-density distribution, as confirmed by both experimental and computational studies.
