A remarkable phosphorescent sensor for acid–base vapours based on an AIPE-active Ir(iii) complex

Abstract

A novel AIPE-active neutral Ir(III) complex has been synthesized for rapid and reversible phosphorescent sensing of acid–base vapours due to the reversible protonation and deprotonation process occurring on functional Schiff base ligands.
