Pd2+Mn2+HPA: a heterogeneous Wacker system catalyst

Abstract

High efficiency for selective ethene oxidation of catalysts containing PdCl2 and Mn2+ salts of heteropoly acids [H3 +xPMo12 –xVxO40(0 ⩽x⩽ 3)] supported on silica suggests a synergetic interaction between Pd2+ and Mn2+HPMoVx.
