Lamellar organominerals: intercalation of phenylphosphonate into the layers of bayerite

Abstract

The reaction of phenylphosphonic acid with the aluminium hydroxide bayerite affords a layered aluminium phosphonate compound of formula Al2(O3PPh)3·4H2O.
