Synthesis and photophysics of tetranuclear copper(I) acetylides. Crystal structure of [Cu4{P(C6H4Me-p)3}4(µ3-η1-CCPh)4]
Abstract
A series of tetranuclear copper(I) acetylide complexes [Cu4(PR3)4(µ3-η1-CCPh)4](R = Ph 1, C6H4F-p2, C6H4Me-p3 or C6H4OMe-p4) have been synthesized and shown to exhibit rich photoluminescent behaviour at room temperature. The crystal structure of 3 has also been determined.
