The reactions of styrene and related compounds with NN-dichlorosulphonamides

Abstract

The reactions of NN-dichlorotoluene-p-sulphonamide with styrene, trans-stilbene, and indene are described. A free-radical mechanism is proposed which contrasts with the apparent ionic addition of NN-dibromosulphonamides to olefins.
