The carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of isoflavones

Abstract

The 13C n.m.r. spectra of a series of isoflavones and related compounds have been determined. Chemical shifts of the ring A carbon atoms are relatively insensitive to changes of substitution in the rest of the molecule but are markedly influenced by the presence of a double bond between C-2 and C-3.
