EPR spectra of 3,5-disubstituted benzyl radicals

Abstract

A careful determination has been made of the EPR coupling constants of a series of seven 3,5-disubstituted benzyl radicals to assess the influence of meta substituents on delocalization of the unpaired electron. α(CH2) depends on σm(major component) and σH˙(minor component).
