Absorption of hydrogen by palladium + boron and palladium + silver + boron alloys

Abstract

The solubility of hydrogen in some Pd + B and Pd + Ag + B alloys, and where possible pressure-composition (p,C) isotherms and derived thermodynamic parameters, have been determined from experimental measurements in aqueous solutions. Information has also been obtained concerning relationships between electrical resistance and hydrogen content. Results are discussed with respect to alternative models proposed to account for the form of the (p,C) isotherms of the palladium + hydrogen and palladium alloy + hydrogen systems.
