On the remarkable structural diversity and kinetic lability of TpC*CaX complexes (X = NSi2Me6, OC6H4-p-Me, TpC*) where TpC* = tris[3-(2-methoxy-1,1-dimethylethyl)pyrazolyl]hydroborate

Abstract

The preparation, structures and solution NMR properties of the title compounds are reported and, remarkably, the compounds (TpC*)2M, where M = Ca and Mg, exist as salts in the solid state and undergo facile TpC* ligand exchange in solution.
